Morgan Panzirer, a sophomore at Villanova University, has published a book titled “Actually, I Can: Growing Up with Type 1 Diabetes, A Story of Unexpected Empowerment.” The book aims to show that living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) can be an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Morgan was diagnosed with T1D at age 6 and has faced many misconceptions about the condition. Her book addresses these misconceptions and shares her journey, including her advocacy work with JDRF and her experiences traveling the world. Despite the challenges, Morgan emphasizes the importance of optimism and strength. She hopes to become a pediatric endocrinologist to help other families dealing with diabetes.
