Barry J. Goldstein, MD, PhD, is a prominent figure in the field of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic diseases. He serves as the director of the division of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic diseases at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Additionally, he is a professor of medicine, biochemistry, and molecular pharmacology at Thomas Jefferson University.
Before joining Thomas Jefferson University in 1992, Dr. Goldstein was an instructor and assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also worked as an investigator in the section on cellular and molecular physiology at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston.
