### Dr. Robert S. Zimmerman: A Leader in Diabetes Research Dr. Robert S. Zimmerman, MD, FACE, is a prominent figure in the field of endocrinology, specifically focusing on diabetes and metabolism. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Cleveland Clinic Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Before this role, he was the director of the Ochsner Diabetes Institute and the medical director of the Division of Nutrition at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Zimmerman earned his medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, and later pursued a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
