### Dr. S. Sethu K. Reddy: A Leader in Diabetes and Endocrinology
Dr. S. Sethu K. Reddy is the chairman and program director of the department of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He has a strong interest in the epidemiology of diabetes and its complications, as well as clinical endocrinology, particularly obesity and thyroid disorders. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct associate professor in the department of medicine at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Dr. Reddy graduated from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, and completed fellowships in clinical endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Toronto. He also served as a research fellow in cellular and molecular physiology at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
He has authored or co-authored over 60 articles and book chapters on various aspects of endocrinology and has prepared abstracts for more than 40 research projects. Dr. Reddy is also an associate editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and has lectured extensively on the management of diabetes and its complications, heart disease, obesity, thyroid disease, and other topics.
Dr. Reddy is the chairman of the Coding Committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Canada) in internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
Dr. Reddy has received several honors and awards, including two awards for teaching. In 1990, he was chosen as the First Alternate for the American College of Physicians Teaching & Research Award, and in 1992, he received the Department of Medicine Excellence Award in Teaching. He was also the Nova Scotia Medical Research Foundation Scholar from 1991 to 1994.
