Does long-term running cause osteoporosis?
Long-term running generally does not cause osteoporosis. In fact, moderate running and other weight-bearing exercises help strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis. However, excessive running can put too much stress on the joints, leading to other types of injuries. To maintain bone health, it's recommended to combine various forms of exercise and maintain a balanced diet with sufficient calcium and vitamin D intake. If you experience any discomfort or health issues, please consult a doctor.
