Frequent use of sunscreen can indeed reduce the skin's ability to synthesize vitamin D, as vitamin D is primarily produced when the skin is exposed to sunlight. However, we can obtain sufficient vitamin D through diet and supplements. For example, fish, egg yolks, and vitamin D supplements are excellent sources. Additionally, as long as sunscreen is not applied all day long, proper sun exposure can still help the body produce enough vitamin D. Therefore, with proper planning, using sunscreen and getting enough vitamin D are not mutually exclusive.
